*** UPDATE *** Pre-registration for the event has ended.  You are still welcome to attend the event, but will be required to register at the venue.  Thank you for your interest in the TechMixer University and we look forward to seeing you at the event.

Plan now to attend the Second Annual TechMixer University on October 13th, 2009 at the Grand Cahaba Conference Center in Birmginham, AL.  Registration for the event will begin at 7:00 AM and the first session will start at 8:00 AM.

Ask any of the 500 plus people who attended last years event and they will all tell you the same thing, “TechMixer University truly was the best free day of training in the state of Alabama all year”. Last year through the generous donations of our sponsors we were able to educate Alabama’s information technology professionals on; Project Management, Security and Networking, .Net Development, Open Source Development, SharePoint, and Database Development.

This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever. We will be adding additional learning tracks for greater diversity. In addition the event will feature a CTO panel to discuss the future state of Information Technology.

TechBirmingham, incorporated as the Birmingham Area Technology Leadership Alliance, was created from the recommendations of the Birmingham Area Technology Task Force (“BATT Force”) in May 2002. TechBirmingham has taken the Strategic Plan issued by the BATT Force and created a roadmap for success. The roadmap has three parallel paths. First, help grow the large number of existing technology businesses and attract new companies to the area. Second, make sure that the business environment is tech-friendly through the attraction of new capital sources and strategic economic incentives. And third, work to create and improve a technology-capable workforce through various public-private partnerships.
